Cool as a Cucumber


The humble cucumber may seem like a simple water-rich vegetable with little nutrients. But actually, studies show that fresh cucumber extracts contain many potent antioxidants and anti-inflammatory nutrients! This makes them a great kitchen ingredient for a smooth and supple face.  This refreshing, cooling vegetable contains 95% water, and provides important benefits for skin including minimizing pores, brightening, hydrating and toning, whilst the oats soothe the skin and the anti-bacterial honey keeps spots at bay.  Yay!

Ingredients:

   1/2 cucumber

 

    1 tablespoon ground oats

 

 

       1 tablespoon Manuka honey

How long it lasts: Whip it up fresh each time you use it babe!

Time it takes to blend & glow: 15 minutes

How to blend & glow:

1. Blend the cucumber and oats in a blender for 30 seconds until you create a smooth, lump free puree.

2. Stir in the honey.

3. Using clean fingertips, gently massage the mixture onto your face in a circular motion. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.

4. Wash the mask off with warm water by gently making a circular motion.

Twists you should try:

For babes who can’t have honey add 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel instead. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes before applying for a super cooling effect
